Distance from Patient Patient is too far away. Increasing image size will cause loss of information.
Patient Wearing Hat The hat is covering the patient’s forehead, making it unsuitable for face-matching.
Ears Not Visible The patient’s hair is covering the ears. Ears need to be visible for face-matching.
Mouth is Closed Reposed photo must have mouth slighly open to view teeth # 8 & 9 incisal display, if any.
Patient Wearing Glasses Glasses cause glare, distort eyes, and are unsuitable for face-matching.
Improper Bite Patient is not fully biting together, making it unsuitable for matching to IOS-3D.
Bad Camera Angle-Too High Photo is NOT straight-on, camera angle is high on the patient. Consistent angle required for face-matching.
Bad Camera Angle-Too Low Photo is NOT straight-on, camera angle too low. Consistent angle required for face-matching.
Not Straight-On Face Photo is NOT straight-on, face is turned to the side and one of the ears is not visible.
